Dremel rotary tools are a variable speed hand held power tool that was developed in 1932 by Albert J. Dremel. In 1993 the company was purchased by Robert Bosch Tool Corporation a company that makes similar tools for the die grinders and metalworking industry.

Tool bits and other accessories are held in a collet and must be securely fasten for safe operation.
